Liquidity can play a significant role in helping our clients to achieve their financial goals, as well as in helping to meet the investment objectives of collective investment schemes. Appropriate, well-considered credit arrangements can enhance liquidity, protect assets from currency exposure, and put corporate or fund assets to work.
To help meet the needs of our investment managers and fund promoters (and the needs of their clients), we offer credit in several major world currencies (AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, JPY, and USD) for currency hedging, bridge financing, loans and, on a limited basis, leverage:
- Currency Hedging1: We offer foreign exchange lines to cover passive hedging programs, rolling monthly or quarterly. We can also facilitate hedging between all major currencies for up to one year forward.
- Bridge Financing1: We provide committed and uncommitted overdraft facilities to cover bespoke timing and settlement liquidity requirements for fund of hedge fund portfolios.
- Leverage facilities1: In select circumstances, we may be able to offer leverage facilities to increase portfolio exposure and performance. Significant leverage against a fund of hedge fund portfolio may also be possible through the trading desk of our affiliate RBC Capital Markets.
